Momaso delivers Scan2Bim services, in this service both the 3D scans and the 3D models are delivered by Momaso. These BIM models represent a virtual representation in which all information is gathered about the design, management, construction and maintenance of a building. This is extremely useful for all parties because everyone has insight into and access to the information. Nowadays, it is impossible to imagine the construction world without Bim.
All parties involved in the construction work have access to this information. This data is entered in one go and is accessible to everyone. The information is always available to everyone and is always up-to-date. Especially in renovation/transformation works, it is important to have reliable information at your disposal.
Objects can be captured using a 3D scanner and recorded in a Pointcloud. This is a cloud of measuring points. BIM models are made from the scan data acquired in this way. It is a combination of 3D laser scanning and 3D modelling.
Traditionally, everything in the construction industry is measured manually and often outdated 2D archive drawings are used. This is extremely time-consuming and also prone to errors. Nowadays, measuring is many times faster through the use of mobile 3D scanners.
It simply means that by using a laser scanner, a 3D scan of a building or object is made. This information is then imported into Revit where a BIM model is elaborated, this can be done at various levels of detail depending on the client's request.
Scanning with our VLX and/or RTC360 scanner provides a perfect view and 360 degree photos. The scanner is portable and can therefore be used anywhere. Especially in smaller spaces or near stairs for example, this is a huge advantage. Would you like more information about our services? Or do you still have questions about Scan2Bim?
